  1. Project's main objective :

Application at industrial level of a new and innovative technology in order to secure the value papers by the introduction within the paper support of a security element – ferromagnetic microwire (FM), as discontinuous and continuous wire – that assures a superior warranty of authenticity and a high level of security against thievery and evasion on the route: paper manufacturer – printing shop – final user.

  1. Project duration: 26 months
  2. Estimated results:
  1. Identification of some ferromagnetic microwires with superior chemical and physical – mechanical resistance and with maxim magnetic efficiency
  2. Identification of some innovative techniques to include the ferromagnetic microwires within the base paper structure as continuous or discontinuous wires and to assure the compatibility of the elements from the matrix paper – ferromagnetic microwires - process additives
  3. Adaptation of the industrial plant for security paper manufacturing by:

- acquisition and installing of the continuous ferromagnetic microwires insertion device within the paper sheet
- modernization of the discontinuous ferromagnetic microwires dosage device that will assure an uniform distribution and their parallel orientation within the paper sheet
- acquisition and installing of some on line monitoring and control equipments that will signalize the presence of the ferromagnetic microwires within the paper sheet, of their density and repartition

    • Obtaining at industrial scale of the paper with discontinuous ferromagnetic microwires
    • Application at industrial level of the continuous ferromagnetic microwires insertion within the paper sheet technology
    • Patenting of the product “Paper with continuous ferromagnetic microwires and his manufacturing technology”
